Accounts Assistant

Due to growth within the commercial team we are looking to bring in a Quantity Surveyor to support the pre-construction and construction elements of our projects.

Cotswold Energy Group is a leading supplier of renewable energy solutions, including; Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps, Heating Design and Energy Consultancy. What you’ll do:

About the role:

  • Reporting to the Finance Director and Finance Manager. This role encompasses a range of financial tasks including:
  • Checking, coding and processing purchase invoices into Xero accounting software
  • Ensuring invoices are allocated correctly to specific jobs using purchase order system
  • Sending out supplier remittances
  • Checking, coding and processing staff expenses
  • Processing of debit and credit card receipts and reconciling against statements
  • Purchasing adhoc consumables for the business
  • Maintaining fuel analysis records
  • Creating purchase orders against jobs when requested
  • Raising of sales ledger invoices for approval
  • Sending customer statements and chasing up debt
  • Working closely with other departments
  • Adhoc duties
Key Qualifications and experience:
  • Minimum of 2+ years accounting experience
  • Manage a process end to end and has a strong attention to detail
  • Analyse and solve operational problems
  • Have a flexible approach and be comfortable prioritising a demanding workload on own
  • Knowledge of Xero, Dext and Salesforce is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
